I may be being stupid, but how is death a result of Ich, not a cause!! Did it mean death of other fish? (Adam2307 15:57, 28 March 2008 (CDT))

I think that section should be symptoms. Death is typically a result not a cause...--Brian 17:10, 28 March 2008 (CDT)

I think the article is saying 'Ich causes death'. Which it does. --Quatermass 17:53, 28 March 2008 (CDT)

Sorry, I just relised that what I put makes no sense whatsoever!! The article states that a cause of Ich is death but i am presuming this means the death of other fish and not the fish with Ich because if it was dead it couldn't get Ich, that would be a result of Ich.

my brain hurts! --Cat 07:33, 29 March 2008 (CDT)

Ok, We aren't getting anywhere, everyone (including me) is now confused. I will just get rid of it and someone can always put it back in as something like "results" if they feel the need. The cause of the disease should refer to the pathogen and nothing about death and disfigured skin.

I have also removed the stub box because there is plenty of info there and i can't see how it is a stub.

Could people add their signature to the end of comments please (Adam!).

Nice work on the article. Reads a lot better.

Sorry, I keep forgetting! Thanks but I hardly did anything...I just deleted a confusing bit because it was confusing!! (Adam2307 12:08, 29 March 2008 (CDT))

Edited quite a bit in the article. Primarily, just did simple copy-editing and re-writing to make the entry more encyclopedic but there were a few clarifications made. Also, the section on salt was moved from special notes to treatments, as ich is susceptible to salt beginning at a certain concentration (see reference, available on EBSCOhost, for details). While it may not be the best treatment, it is a viable one, and should be included as such. Wyrdsol 17:37, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the edits! --Brian 01:05, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
